When you receive it, you will have to set the time stamp per included instructions and you will have to set the time on the clock itself. It does feature the common alarm clock battery backup feature to save the clock time and alarm should there be a power outage. This item does not record audio. Video cable should fit almost any TV or VCR.

The stereo or microphone looking side goes into the camera. The other RCA or composite connection will fit into the video in on the TV and VCR.

The camera only records to the SD card. This is now removeable in this camera to swap or playback on a PC. Because this item is a hidden camera we do not install buttons to operate the unit on the outside. This item is meant for you to let it run off motion detection recording or constant recording to capture video. Ou can control all functions from the remote control. You can also view live video when connected to the TV. The Video port is located on the back side, there is no USB port. There is no on and off switch on the item, this is controlled by the remote.

This is a IR remote control and it will reach about 25 feet or more. Only records in 1 minute clip in motion detection. This camera does NOT do schedule recording. This alarm clock does not have a battery backup.

This camera will get constant power when the alarm clock has been plugged in for power. The system does not allow for a schedule to be setup. You can do constant recording and motion activated recording using this camera. You will manually start the recording or motion activated recording by using the remote.

You will also use the remote to stop the recording and power on/off the camera. When the camera is connected to the TV you can see the video LIVE on the screen. This would not be remotely since you have the camera connected right up to the TV. You will do this when you need to change the settings or when learning how to use the item. It shows the OSD menu with what the camera see's in the background.

If you have trouble playing the video on your PC we would suggest you download the free player named VLC Media Player and that be found to download on the internet. When you need to remove the camera from the USB on your PC. You will need to close the window for the item and safely remove the device before doing so. There is an icon that appears down by your clock when you connect a USB device.

This looks like a green arrow above a grey box. Doing this will prevent the item and data from being lost or damaged. This camera does not have any Infrared to see in the dark.

You would need to use this in a lighted room. The brighter the better quality you will get on the image. This also depends on how far away from the camera you are. For a normal room this will work fine when the lights are on, If it is dark it will be dark on screen. With hidden cameras most do not come with infrared and the ones that do only work a few feet from the camera. There is a RCA cord and needs to be plugged into the AV input for this connection type and put on the video channel that goes with the connection.

This is normally called Component and will not always match the correct colors with new style TV's. Your TV will have a input channel that you can select for this video connection.
